Anti aging without any creams or potions

Retinol is one of the best ingredients for skin care; it is a derivative of Vitamin A, which many dermatologists know is healthy for the skin. Aloe Vera and grape seed oil are two great natural moisturizers for the skin and are absorbed better than most. Retinol is an antioxidant that is very good at improving the appearance of age spots, wrinkling and dry and flaky skin. Roc, a popular retinol cream, costs about $20. Retinol is the form of Vitamin A found in mammals. Zinc is one of the so-called trace metals in the body.
Retinol is a derivative of retin-A, vitamin A. And prescription retin-A has been shown to decrease wrinkles. Retinol is stored in the form of retinol esters in the liver. Before release, these esters are hydrolysed, and the free alcohol is linked to a specific protein, retinol-binding protein (RBP). Retinol is found in supplements, liver, eggs, full-fat dairy products, fish liver oils, and fortified foods such as cereals and skim milk. Beta carotene, which converts to vitamin A in the body, was not .Eating these foods will give you a natural excess of retinol; with a good healthy mix of other vitamins and minerals needed to properly metabolise them.
Retinol is both photosensitizing and photodegradable. Applying it before you walk out into the sun can increase skin irritation. Retinol is a fat-soluble and essential vitamin important for the immune system, growth, cell differentiation, vision, and reproduction (Blomhoff 1994; Combs 1992). The toxic effects of PCBs on TH and retinol status appear to be mediated partly by the same molecular mechanism. Retinol is usually linked to good skin and improved eyesight, but researchers say too much of the stuff can also increase the risk of hip fractures. An 18-year evaluation of more than 72,000 postmenopausal women found that those ingesting about 2,000 mcg or more a day were nearly twice as likely to injure their hips in a fall.
Retinol is effective in concentrations of 0.2 to 0.6 percent and you can ask your doctor for a formula that is appropriate for your skin type. Those with oily skin can use a gel-based formula while those with dry skin can use a cream formula at a lower concentration. Retinol is a form of Vitamin A that’s usable by the body. Retinol is fat-soluble and found in animal-based foods. Retinol is metabolized by B lymphocytes and other cell lines to optically active 14-hydroxy-4,14-retro-retinol; it is this compound that mediates the growth control. Thus another second messenger molecule, in addition to retinoic acid and retinal, is derived from retinol.
Retinol is active at concentrations equal to its concentration in serum. Retinol is also a requirement for growth in suspension cultures at cell densities of 3 x 10(5)/ml. Retinol is available in cream form. It modifies the abnormal formation on the superficial layer of the skin (keratinization) near hair follicles. Retinol is very light and air sensitive, breaking down down quickly if exposed. When looking for a retinol cream, it’s extremely important to select products with packaging that will maintain the potency of the active ingredient.
Vitamin A (in the form of retinoic acid) has also an important role in the normal functioning of the immune system, especially T cell mediated immunity and natural killer activity. In the developing fetus, vitamin A is essential for normal morphogenesis, growth and cell differentiation. Vitamin A deficiency is rare in the UK, but in developing countries it can be a problem. Pregnant women and infants are most at risk. Vitamin A is a vitamin which is extremely sensitive to light and oxygen. It is nevertheless highly regarded because of its restructuring effect in the area of collagen fibers.

Retinol is used in small amounts in anti-ageing creams, but in such low concentrations that it is unlikely to cause problems. More damaging, Brown says, is if pregnant women take too much vitamin A as a supplement.

Nutrition can be really effective in having a healthy body, and not just the skin. The problem is, we are not that disciplined enough to eat only what would benefit our health the most. I think we should eat healthy and include retinol in our diets, but there are lots of things that hinder us from doing so: our modern lifestyle, foods that are available to our society, habits etc…
Surgeries and creams would help, but I view them as quick fixes.
